Art Form: 

Multidisciplinary artist; ceramics, acrylic paints and inks, illustration, maker of pigments and inks, printmaking, watercolour, digital illustration and natural dyes.

 

Bio: 

I am a mixed media artist exploring the concept of moving to a slower more mindful process of expression through creativity.

My work focuses on making the distance between collection of materials and fruition of work being as local as possible.

 

I work across murals, illustration, painting, inks, ceramics and the process of making art materials. I strive to open people to the different ways of seeing raw material and finished products by becoming more intimate with the process. I facilitate workshops and events throughout Australia. Through hosting these events, I guide others towards a deeper understanding and appreciation of the creative process.

 

I have exhibited and curated numerous exhibitions in South East Queensland, Australia. I have received two grants to create multidisciplinary bodies of work. My current project ‘Community Connections’ is to launch a podcast interviewing artists about how they have adapted to changing times. My previous grant project ‘Collecting Colours’ completed in 2021 was to make my own series of pigments and inks from foraged plants and minerals.
